Friend or Foe: the Narconon Ups and Downs in Life Course
The Narconon Drug Rehabilitation Program is comprised of a drug free withdrawal, a detoxifying sauna program, and a series of 8 life improvement courses that help Students learn the various life skills necessary to live productive, drug free lives.
In the Narconon Ups and Downs in Life Course, also known as Book 5, Students of the Narconon Drug Treatment Program gain the ability to detect whether or not someone is there to help or harm. This book empowers the Student by teaching them that they are in control of who they allow to become a part of their life.
In our lives we will come across many different types of people. Some we will know for just minutes, others will be around for quite some time. Some of these people can influence our lives in a positive way, and of course some will do just the opposite. Many people have a difficult time aligning themselves with good people, but for a drug addict, this can be even more difficult. Often times, the drug addicted mind is incapable of seeing whether someone is truly a friend, or actually a foe.
In Book 5, Narconon Vista Bay Rehab reviews the Student skills in spotting a negative influence, and how to handle this negative influence when they are in the Student’s environment. The Student will learn the transparent characteristics of a negative influence, the anti-social personality, and the encouraging characteristics of a positive influence, the social personality. Once the Student is armed with this knowledge, he or she is able to choose those they surround themself with more wisely.
When choosing to let go of a life of drugs and alcohol, you must assess the company that you keep. The success of the addict is dependent upon encouraging friends and family.
If you or someone you know is suffering from an addiction to drugs or alcohol, it is imperative that you seek treatment immediately. Do not lose another day of life. Narconon Ups and Downs in Life Course Success Story
“This book, Book 5 was amazing. There are a lot of the characteristics of the social and anti-social personality that I’ve always picked up on and recognized as being good or bad indicators in a person. However, I now have the tools to fairly evaluate a person based on both the good and bad qualities that they possess and can therefore surround myself with people who are good people and who want to see me do well. Additionally, as someone who has long suffered from migraines and anxiety to near breaking points at times, I am grateful for the awareness I now have into being able to find the root of these issues and alleviating them. I’ve often not known what’s causing my feelings of anxiety and stress and now I am confident that I will be able to discover that root when it arises and deal with it effectively so that I can be as successful and well as much as I can. I can help those around me to be successful and well too when I see them affected by these issues. This book was incredibly helpful and interesting and will be applicable to me for ages to come.”

“I feel like I have gained a lot by doing this book because now I have the ability and the knowledge of how to not only recognize people around who don’t want the best for me, but I can also properly handle or disconnect from them. I was able to realize that at one point in my life I was being suppressed and what happened as a result of that. Should this ever happen again I can be at cause over the situation rather than being an effect.”
